Three steps, in order

Everyone starts in the same place: a short conversation, with nothing owed at the end of it. Sessions run by secure video anywhere in Texas, or in person in San Antonio.

Consultation

15 minutes

This is first contact. Korene walks you through what is offered and how it works, listens to what brought you here, and the two of you decide together whether this is the right place for you.

There is no assessment in this conversation and no commitment at the end of it. If Restorative Reflections is not the right fit, you will be pointed somewhere that is.

Intake assessment and treatment recommendation

90 minutes

Your first full appointment. This is the longest session you will have, and deliberately so. It is where Korene gets to know who you are, what has been happening, what has already been tried, and what would genuinely help.

You leave with a treatment recommendation: a clear picture of what the work ahead looks like and how long it is likely to take.

Individual counseling sessions

45 to 60 minutes

The ongoing work, on whatever the intake identified. Most treatment recommendations land somewhere between 12 and 24 sessions, though that is a starting estimate rather than a fixed number. It is reviewed as you go.

Sessions are one to one, and the pace is set with you rather than for you.

What to expect

  • How sessions happen By secure, encrypted video, or in person in San Antonio. Most clients choose video. You can switch between the two as your week requires.
  • Where you can be Texas law allows Korene to counsel clients who are physically located in Texas at the time of the session. If you travel out of state, that session has to be rescheduled.
  • What you need for video A phone, tablet or laptop, an internet connection, and somewhere private. No app to buy and nothing to install in advance.
  • Office hours Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 4:00pm. Appointments are scheduled within these hours.

  • Confidentiality What you say in session stays in session, within the limits the law places on every counselor in Texas. Those limits are explained to you at intake, before you agree to anything.
