Privacy notice and site terms

Plain language, because this matters more here than on most websites.

This website is not counseling

Everything published here is general information about the practice. It is not counseling, not an assessment, not a diagnosis, and not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. Reading this site, or sending a message through it, does not make you a client and does not create a counselor and client relationship. That relationship begins only when Korene Larkin and you have agreed to it in writing.

Emergencies

Do not use this website to report an emergency. The contact form is checked during office hours only, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 4:00pm. If you are in crisis, call or text 988, or the 24-hour crisis line in San Antonio at 210-223-7233. Call 911 if anyone is in immediate danger.

What the contact form collects

Only what you type into it: your name, your email address, an optional phone number, the reason you are getting in touch, and any short note you add about how to reach you. The form is deliberately built without a field for health information, and you are asked not to include any.

What you send is emailed to the practice and is not stored in a database on this website.

Email is not confidential

Email travels across systems nobody here controls, and it can be read by the providers who carry it. Anything you send by email or through this form should be treated as not private. Clinical information belongs in session, or in whatever secure system you are given once you become a client, never in an email.

Information you share once you are a client is protected by Texas and federal law, including the confidentiality rules that apply to substance use disorder records. Those protections, and their limits, are explained to you in full before you agree to anything.

How your message is used

To reply to you and to arrange a consultation. Nothing more. Your details are never sold, rented, or handed to anyone for marketing, and they are not shared with the organizations listed on the resources page.

Tracking

This site runs no advertising trackers, no social media pixels, and no analytics profiles. The hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which record things like IP addresses and the pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.

The site uses one cookie, set only when you open the contact page, which exists to protect the form against abuse. It carries no personal information and expires when you close your browser.

Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google's servers when a page loads. If you would rather that did not happen, the fonts can be served from this site instead. Ask and it will be changed.

Links to other sites

The resources page links to organizations that run their own websites under their own policies. Restorative Reflections does not control them and is not responsible for what they publish or how they handle your information.

Children

This website is intended for adults. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Questions

Email restorativereflections@gmail.com and ask. If you want your message and details deleted from the practice inbox, say so and it will be done.

This notice describes how the website works. It is not legal advice and it is not a substitute for the practice's own client agreement and notice of privacy practices, which you receive before your first session.
